Unfinished Business: Hike & Trail Run
participant information and acknowledgement
“Unfinished Business” sessions – Hike and Trail Run – are informal, peer-led outdoor meetups for independent professionals. They combine a suggested hiking or trail-running route with optional light-touch prompts for conversation.
They are not guided walks, coached runs, races, training sessions, or supervised outdoor activities. Peakpact may share a suggested route, meeting point, timings and discussion structure; Peakpact does not provide individual assessment, supervision, navigation, medical support, first aid cover, transport, rescue, or personal accident insurance.
The nature of the activity
Hiking and trail running in the Peak District involve a risk of injury, illness, loss or, in rare cases, death. Hazards may include uneven, rocky, muddy, wet or slippery ground; steep ascents and descents; tree roots and low branches; streams and water; road crossings; livestock; changing weather; reduced visibility; fatigue; and the actions of other people, animals or trail users.
Routes, conditions and group dynamics can change. Participants may naturally spread out or choose different paces. You should not rely on Peakpact or another participant to accompany you, navigate for you, or make decisions on your behalf.

-
Will tell the Peakpact contact if you decide to leave before the end of the session where reasonably practicable and appropriate.
